AssemblyAI has released AssemblyAI-TTS-1, its first text-to-speech model aimed at voice agents. The company says the model costs $15 per 1 million characters.
The API offers unlimited concurrency without requiring a contract. At launch it supports six languages, and the source does not list which ones.
