Beam.win lets Mac users open agent windows from another Mac

Beam.win is a Mac app that shows windows from apps running on a second Mac, such as a Terminal or browser, alongside local apps. It is free to try, with 20 minutes of use per day.

Beam.win, built by Hiten Shah and Sam, targets people who run AI agents and builds on a Mac mini or Mac Studio without a monitor attached. A user picks a window on another Mac, and it opens beside local apps with its own Dock icon and a ⌘Tab entry. The app keeps running on the machine where it started.

Remote windows can be typed into and resized like normal windows, and files can be moved between the Macs. Audio from the app can also be heard locally. When one window is not enough, Beam can open a whole screen or the entire Mac.

Beam works on Apple silicon Macs running Sonoma or later. Connections can run over a local network or through Tailscale, and they are encrypted directly between the Macs. The app is free to try for 20 minutes each day.

Why it matters if you build agents

Developers running agents on a headless Mac can check a Terminal, browser or other app without opening Screen Sharing and navigating a second desktop. Work on the original machine keeps running while the window is in use. Check the Apple silicon and Sonoma requirements, and the 20-minute daily free limit, before planning around it.
