Cline Cloud sessions are rolling out gradually in v4.1.25 and can be turned on in Settings. A user picks a GitHub repository and branch, and the task runs in a hosted sandbox. Cloud tasks appear in Recent and History with their status, send a notification when they finish, and keep running after the editor is closed.
With no model selected, the Cline provider now defaults to Gemini 4 Argon, while OpenRouter stays on Claude Sonnet 5.5. The catalog adds the Boundless and Standard Compute providers and drops MiniMax M2.7 from OpenCode Go. Many other providers have new default models, so users who do not pin a model may get a different one.
Long requests to local models such as LM Studio and Ollama no longer fail after five minutes of silence with a BodyTimeoutError. OpenAI Compatible base URLs are now used exactly as entered, so a host-only URL no longer gets /v1 added. URLs saved by earlier versions get /v1 added once. When a provider error interrupts a response mid-stream, Cline retries up to three times before failing the turn.
Why it matters if you build agents
Teams that rely on a default model should check which model their Cline setup now uses, and anyone who pinned a model should confirm it is still listed. Cloud sessions offer a hosted place to run longer coding tasks, though access is gradual. Developers who point Cline at OpenAI Compatible endpoints should verify that their saved base URLs still resolve correctly.
