Cohere releases Rerank 5 with passage-level context focus

Cohere's Rerank 5 comes in two tiers, Pro and Fast, and both are built around a 32K context window. The release adds Context Focus, which extracts passages from longer inputs, and calibrated relevance scores.

According to the announcement, Pro scores 82.2 on BRIGHT, a retrieval benchmark. Pro is priced at $0.05 per 1M tokens. The source does not give pricing for the Fast tier.
