E2B Python SDK 2.58.0 adds streaming input for commands and PTYs

E2B has released version 2.58.0 of its Python SDK, which adds a way to stream input into running commands and PTY sessions. The release also removes Python 3.10 compatibility code.

The main change is a new streaming input call for sandbox commands and PTYs. In the JavaScript SDK, sandbox.commands.streamInput(pid) and sandbox.pty.streamInput(pid) return a CommandInputHandle that sends input in order through a single StreamInput call.

The Python SDK gets its own version with different shapes. The async stream_input(pid) returns an AsyncCommandInputHandle, while the sync stream_input(pid, data) blocks until it has sent an iterable of input.

A patch-level change removes compatibility shims for Python 3.10, since the package already requires Python 3.11 or later. The release is dated 20 Oct on GitHub.

Why it matters if you build agents

Agents that drive interactive programs or terminals can now send stdin or PTY input as a stream through one handle instead of separate calls.

Projects that still run Python 3.10 cannot rely on this SDK, because the package already requires Python 3.11 or later.
