E2B has published version 2.58.0 of its e2b package, and the release lists one minor change. In the JavaScript SDK, sandbox.commands.streamInput(pid) and sandbox.pty.streamInput(pid) return a CommandInputHandle that sends stdin or PTY input in order over one StreamInput RPC.
In the Python SDK, the async stream_input(pid) returns an AsyncCommandInputHandle. The sync version, stream_input(pid, data), blocks while it sends an iterable of input, so the call returns only after the input has been passed along.
The release is dated 20 October and is tagged e2b@2.58.0 on GitHub, with source assets attached to the tag.
Why it matters if you build agents
Code that drives interactive programs inside an E2B sandbox can now push input in sequence through one handle instead of making separate calls for each piece.
Developers using the synchronous Python client should expect stream_input to block until the whole iterable has been sent before their agent code continues.
