iMerit has launched iMerit Scholars, a platform that helps AI developers recruit and manage specialists to evaluate, fine-tune and validate models. The network already has more than 30,000 vetted experts in 118 countries and is expected to grow to hundreds of thousands.

iMerit, a data annotation and AI training company that ExlService Holdings acquired in July, has launched the iMerit Scholars platform for recruiting and managing experts who test models for enterprise use. The existing community spans more than 30,000 vetted professionals across 118 countries, covering 106 languages and disciplines such as medicine, mathematics, agriculture and autonomous systems.

The platform provides tools for recruiting, onboarding, evaluating, assigning and compensating experts, and it is built on iMerit's Ango Hub annotation and fine-tuning product. Payment processing and compliance run through an integration with Trolley Technologies. Experts pass a three-tier assessment that ends with peer reviews, and iMerit manages customer projects itself, including quality assurance and auditing.

Pricing can be hourly based on expertise, tied to specified deliverables, or linked to measurable outcomes. The company says it can also handle sharp swings in demand, citing one customer that asked for about 400 additional workers within three or four days.

## Why it matters if you build agents

Teams building agents for regulated fields such as healthcare, banking and insurance now have a managed option for sourcing vetted domain reviewers to evaluate and fine-tune their models.

Human review can be bought by the hour, by deliverable or by outcome, which makes it easier to budget evaluation work that changes in scale.

The platform focuses on model evaluation and fine-tuning rather than on tooling for running agents, so it fits into the testing stage of an agent build.
