The release, published on 20 October by nimarb, adds several features to topics. Clustering for large numbers of topics no longer blocks, topics are named after what their facet asks about, and the trace map keeps selection continuity. Topics also now show when content has been filtered out.
The AI gateway gains a self-hosted "None" ingestion mode, and a later fix resolves that mode when no ingestion project or signing keys are configured. The V4 experience gets a recovery option, and the skills API is stabilized with MCP access restored.
Fixes cover the worker's queue wait time, which no longer counts earlier attempts, and scores returned per trace when the v4 scores table has a trace filter. Dashboards now reject unsupported sort columns, search escapes LIKE wildcards in remaining substring and filter queries, and Next.js is bumped to 16.4.2.
Why it matters if you build agents
Developers running self-hosted Langfuse who use the AI gateway can now set ingestion to "None", and the topic changes affect how agent traces are grouped and named. If your queries filter scores by trace or sort dashboards by custom columns, check them, since unsupported sort columns are now rejected.
