OpenClaw has released version 2026.10.10, with changes to backups, Codex runtime handling, delegated subagent work and cloud sessions. The release also includes a long list of fixes across channels, providers, memory and the Control UI.

The headline change covers Git backups, which now include PostgreSQL exports and leave out identified bundled-plugin credentials, webhook tokens and credential blobs. Plugin state that is not secret is kept. The managed Codex native CLI is upgraded to 0.164.0 in the same release.

Subagent continuations, restart recovery and inline completion are described as substantially more reliable. Cron no longer drops missed slots whose stored next-run times are stale. MCP events can now trigger automations, and plugins can steer active runs and override model fallbacks per run.

Security fixes include keeping unresolved Teams allowlists restrictive, auditing symlinked workspace skill roots, and escaping terminal controls in many report types. Node compatibility for installs and updates is restored on newer Node releases, and the changelog still recommends Node 24.22.1 or 26.12.1 for security.

## Why it matters if you build agents

Anyone who relies on Git backups should note that existing history is not rewritten, and integrations must sign in or register again after restoring a redacted backup. Teams running Codex, Claude CLI or MCP-triggered automations will find behavior changes worth testing. Check the Node version in your runtime before updating.
