OpenClaw 2026.10.7 adds session recovery fixes and Gemini 4 Argon support

OpenClaw has released version 2026.10.7, focused mainly on recovery and state durability across sessions, updates, backups and the Gateway. The release also adds Gemini 4 Argon support for Google models and fixes several onboarding and logging problems.

OpenClaw published version 2026.10.7 on GitHub, built from commit 157d8c2. Most of the work targets recovery: interrupted sessions keep their recovery records, interrupted package updates resume, and interrupted R2 verification and restores pick up where they stopped.

Provider and plugin fixes cover model refresh, OpenRouter onboarding and incremental plugin loading. The release adds Gemini 4 Argon support for Google models, and it fixes a Gateway that could run at full CPU when a temporary log directory was deleted during date rollover.

The Android app was not included in this release. Its version file still reads 2026.8.2, and the maintainers say it must be pinned before the next tag.

Why it matters if you build agents

Teams running OpenClaw gateways get fewer stuck sessions and safer update paths, so long-running agents are less likely to lose state after a restart or failed upgrade.

If your agents call Google models through OpenClaw, Gemini 4 Argon is now a supported option in this version.

Do not assume a matching Android build exists for this tag, since the app version was left at 2026.8.2.
