ServiceNow and Nvidia have made Arc, a long-running AI agent for everyday work, generally available, starting with Mac. The agent is built for Nvidia's RTX Spark devices and is governed by ServiceNow's control tower and enforced by Nvidia OpenShell.

ServiceNow and Nvidia have made Arc, which they describe as a personal long-running AI agent for everyday work, generally available. The companies first announced the agent in May. It is designed for Nvidia's RTX Spark devices and can run locally on an employee's desktop or within Nvidia OpenShell. For now it is available on Mac, and Windows support is still to come.

Arc works with productivity tools such as email and Microsoft Teams, and it scans an employee's inbox and meeting notes to surface action items. According to the companies, it builds memory and skills over time, hands complex tasks to frontier models only when needed, and keeps data local otherwise.

Security is the main selling point. ServiceNow's Super Intelligence Control Tower sets company policies and monitors agent access, while Nvidia OpenShell enforces those policies at runtime. A separate AI Passport layer, announced the week before, carries the rules on risk tolerance and allowed services, and when a passport is revoked, the agent's task is held in a sandbox for later review.

## Why it matters if you build agents

Developers building enterprise agents get a concrete example of runtime policy enforcement, with access limits set by system, API and data source. The approach separates policy definition from enforcement, which may matter for teams that need auditable controls.

Arc is designed for Nvidia's RTX Spark devices, and its Windows version is not yet available, so teams on other platforms should confirm support before planning around it.
