The new vercel connect discover command searches the Vercel Connect catalog by service name, alias, keyword and description, so people and agents can find a service without leaving the terminal. Results can be narrowed by category, by connection method such as mcp or oauth, by the product a service exposes, or to services that forward webhook triggers.
A companion command, vercel connect categories, lists the category slugs that can be used as filters. Both commands accept a --format=json flag for use in scripts and by agents.
Once a service is found, its name can be passed to vercel connect create when setting up a connector, for example vercel connect create slack. The commands require version 64.1.0 or later of the CLI.
Why it matters if you build agents
Agents that need to choose an integration at runtime or during setup can query the catalog from a script and parse the JSON output instead of hardcoding service names. Developers should update the CLI to 64.1.0 or later before relying on these commands.
