Vercel MCP now shows deployments as an interactive card

Vercel's MCP server can now display deployments as an interactive card in ChatGPT and other chat clients that support MCP Apps. The card is the first MCP App Vercel has built, and clients without app support get the same deployment details as text.

The card shows live deployment status, build logs, and source and commit details. A Visit button appears once the deployment URL is ready. Users can send logs into the chat to debug with the model, or open the fullscreen view to read them below the card.

For repositories linked to multiple projects, a project list lets users switch between projects. The card is built on the MCP Apps extension.

Clients that do not support apps receive the deployment state, preview URL and commit as text. The open_deployments tool looks up deployments by project, repository or commit, and can filter by environment. ChatGPT connects to Vercel MCP through its Connectors setup.

Why it matters if you build agents

Agents that call Vercel MCP can use open_deployments to find deployments by project, repository, or commit, and filter them by environment. Developers using ChatGPT can check status and read build logs without leaving the chat. Agent builders should still handle the text fallback for clients that do not render MCP Apps.
