Anthropic has filed its S-1 prospectus with the Securities and Exchange Commission and says it intends to list on the Nasdaq exchange under the ticker ANT. The company filed confidentially in June, and the public document is the first full look at its finances and plans in its own words.
According to the filing, Anthropic posted an $80.7 billion net loss in the first half of this year on $16.3 billion in revenue. Most of that loss comes from accounting charges tied to notes the company issued to raise funding, a point the Wall Street Journal had reported earlier from leaked versions of the document. Dario Amodei's compensation for 2025 was nearly $18 million, and his sister Daniela Amodei, the company's president, was the second highest paid executive at $16.4 million.
The filing also lays out large compute commitments, including about $3.1 billion per month to SpaceX for access to Nvidia GPUs once planned capacity is delivered, up to $120.5 billion through 2029. It lists $44.9 billion with Microsoft through 2033, at least $114.5 billion with Google through 2033, and $110 billion with Amazon over the next ten years. The risk factors cover possible AI sentience, AI-specific taxes, copyright disputes and catastrophic AI incidents that insurers might not be able to cover.
Why it matters if you build agents
Developers who build on Claude now have a detailed, company-stated view of Anthropic's finances and its reliance on a small set of cloud and chip suppliers, which bears on pricing and continuity over time. The figures come from a prospectus filed before listing and could change. Teams that depend on a single model provider may want to track the copyright and regulatory risks the filing names.
