Google Cloud makes Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash generally available for video

Google Cloud has made Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash generally available, a video generation and editing model aimed at high-volume business content such as product videos, virtual try-ons and ads. The model is available through the API and in Gemini for business and Google Vids, with Gemini access still coming soon.

Google Cloud has made Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash generally available, positioning it for everyday business videos created in volume. Business users can work with it in Gemini for business and Google Vids, and developers can call it through the API. Google says outputs carry an imperceptible SynthID watermark and that the model is backed by Provisioned Throughput.

Pricing is $0.07 per second of 720p video, which Google says is 30% less than Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash. Clips can now run up to 15 seconds, up from 10 seconds. Drafts can be generated at 360p or 720p and the best results upscaled to 1080p or 4K, while audio references remain gated behind allowlisting.

Several design and creative platforms, including Artlist, FLORA, invideo, Krea, Picsart, Photoroom, QuickFrame AI and Runway, are building the model into their products. Customers quoted in the announcement highlight consistency across shots, more natural speech and conversational editing, such as swapping a product or changing the camera angle.

Why it matters if you build agents

Developers building video features for ads, product listings or virtual try-ons can now use the model in production through the API, with clips up to 15 seconds long. Cost estimates should use the new $0.07 per second rate for 720p output. Teams that depend on audio references will need allowlist access first, and pipelines should plan for the SynthID watermark on every output.
