Saudi Aramco is buying a 49 percent stake in Humain, an AI company founded in May 2025 by the sovereign wealth fund PIF. According to Aramco, it will contribute about $2.6 billion in 2026 along with its own AI technology. Humain builds data centers, develops cloud services and trains AI models, including the Arabic model ALLaM.

Humain plans three gigawatts of data center capacity by 2030 and wants to serve demand both at home and abroad. AMD reported in August that infrastructure built with Cisco and Humain is serving customers inside and outside Saudi Arabia. Aramco intends to use the technology in its own operations and to sell its own AI solutions.

CEO Tareq Amin told Semafor in September that Humain is strengthening protection for its data centers because of the Iran war, but that demand has not dropped. Through its investment arm Wa'ed Ventures, Aramco also holds a stake in the Korean AI chip developer Rebellions.

Why it matters if you build agents

Developers who rely on Gulf-based cloud or model capacity may see Humain's infrastructure expand, given its planned three gigawatts of data center capacity and a large new backer. The deal brings an oil major in as a partner, and its effect on Humain's products and pricing is not yet clear. Teams considering Humain's cloud services or ALLaM for regional workloads should watch how the company's offerings develop.
