Running vercel deploy --temporary from a project directory that is not linked to Vercel creates a deployment without an account. The same command also accepts a single file, such as an HTML prototype. The CLI builds the project locally when needed and returns a deployment URL.
Temporary deployments use the tmp.now domain, which is separate from vercel.app. They expire after one hour unless they are claimed.
To keep a deployment live, the owner opens the claim link shown in the CLI output and signs in or creates an account. Vercel asks users to keep that link private.
Why it matters if you build agents
An agent that generates a prototype or static page can publish it to a shareable URL in one command, with no account or credentials set up first. Pipelines should treat these URLs as short-lived unless a claim step is added. Claim links should be kept out of logs and shared channels.
