Vercel's @ai-sdk/workflow 2.0.89 graduates filterActiveTools from experimental

Vercel has released @ai-sdk/workflow 2.0.89, which moves filterActiveTools and LanguageModelStreamPart out of experimental status. The release also deprecates the older experimental names and updates its ai and @ai-sdk/provider-utils dependencies.

Vercel released @ai-sdk/workflow 2.0.89 on 29 October. The patch graduates LanguageModelStreamPart to stable and deprecates Experimental_LanguageModelStreamPart in its place.

The release also graduates filterActiveTools from experimental, so it is now exported under that name. The experimental_filterActiveTools name remains available as a deprecated alias. The package also updates its dependencies, including ai at 7.0.157 and @ai-sdk/provider-utils at 5.0.71.

Why it matters if you build agents

Code that imports the experimental names should move to the stable exports, since the old names are now deprecated. Code that still calls experimental_filterActiveTools will keep working through the alias for now, but it should be updated before that alias is removed.
