NousResearch released Hermes Agent v0.22.6 on November 2, 2026, as a patch release that bundles roughly 776 pull requests merged since v0.22.5. The release reaches the CLI and installers, the Microsoft Store app, Docker images and Hermes Cloud. Measured at commit f0d9488, the window contains 3,448 non-merge commits across 4,316 changed files.

The release names several features from the window but leaves them undocumented for now. These include a webapp served from the gateway's own listener, cron cancel with a per-job missed-run policy, opt-in prepared compaction, and per-skill locks against autonomous writes. A pre_llm_call hook that can block a turn before inference is also included.

Update paths differ by channel. Microsoft Store users update through the Store, and desktop users who installed from the .exe or .dmg will receive the change with the next bundled release. CLI users can run hermes update or re-run the installer, and Docker users can pull nousresearch/hermes-agent:stable or :latest.

Why it matters if you build agents

Developers running Hermes Agent from the CLI, Docker or the Store can update to get the rolled-up changes. If you build on cron cancel or the pre_llm_call hook, read the v0.23.0 notes when they ship, because this patch does not document those features in detail.
