The langgraph-sdk 0.4.13 release adds a cancel_reason field to Run, letting callers record why a run was cancelled. It also adds a select option to threads.get_state and threads.get_history, so calls to read thread state and history can be narrowed.
The release notes list these as the SDK's changes since 0.4.12. Alongside the SDK, the release includes langgraph 1.2.20 and a docs change that shows the run's status in the stream example's end event.
Why it matters if you build agents
Code that cancels runs can now store a reason on the Run object, which helps when tracing why work stopped.
If your code reads thread state or history, you can pass select to narrow the response, but check what it returns before relying on the full payload.
